This smiling Dogo is first generation, Pleasant Shade Kennel. Kalea, as she is known, is always ready to give you the biggest kiss and smile you could ever want. Being Jez’s daughter, she was trained very well as a puppy and is gentle and kind. She loves to put her head in your lap. However, as a guard dog she is very precautious and is an incredible judge of human character. She knows who is up to no good and who is a friend. As a Dogo, she enjoys hunting and is very good at it. Whenever she picks up the scent of prey, the pointer in her takes over….up goes the paw, out goes the tail. One of her favorite ways to pass the time is to bird hunt. She gets down close to the ground, like a cat, and then jumps up and snatches the bird right out of the air. Kalea also loves to recline in front of the fireplace and just watch us. She is the most patient Dogo we have and we love her laid back and loving character.
